Founder
Frank has designed and built machines and systems since 1994, most of them custom. Since 2013, he’s spent much of his time teaching PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming across North America, but still does systems integration and consutling work. He is a published author of several books, including “Industrial Automation: Hands On”, “Advanced PLC Hardware and Programming”, “Maintenance and Troubleshooting in Industrial Automation”. He is the founder of the popular blog www.automationprimer.com and Automation Consulting, LLC, a consulting and training service provider.
In 2020, he decided to take his efforts online by creating the Automation Academy, where he provides his trainings in recorded form. It includes PLC and HMI training and covers system integration topics and career guidance.
Every month, he hosts “Mastering the Machine”, a live Zoom webinar on various industrial automation and Industry 4.0 topics.
